Puku Demonstrates the PukuPedia Enhanced Children’s Book Selection Tool

The Puku Children’s Literature Foundation recently introduced the Pukupedia Enhanced Children’s Book Selection Tool at UNISA Library to celebrate National Book Week and International Literacy Day. Notable guests, including the National Library of South Africa CEO, emphasized the importance of local languages in literature. Highlights included a traditional Xhosa music performance and a demonstration of the Pukupedia, which facilitates book metadata creation in all South African official languages, enhancing accessibility and inclusivity in children’s literature.
