U-Afi negubu lomlingo

One day a war broke out in Afi’s country and there was chaos. Afi and her parents fled the village to look for another place to stay, but along the way in the chaos Afi got lost. Luckily she was rescued by an old man who helped her with a place to stay and before the old man died, gave Afi a magic drum which helped her find her way to her old village where she reunited with her parents. Normally when there is war people run away and run away to find new places to live in and to hide and most of the time children get lost from their parents.

The message seems to be that children should always be close to their parents when they are around big crowds, and if they cannot find their parents they should look for someone to help them get back to their parents. The book is a great addition to children’s books, because it helps explain the dangers children face in life.
