Sihle Nontshokweni is a South African children’s author and storyteller best known for co-authoring the much-loved Wanda series. As a co-author of the award-winning children’s book Wanda (2019) and its sequel Wanda the Brave (2021), she creates stories that celebrate Black beauty, self-acceptance and cultural pride. Her books celebrate identity, confidence and cultural pride, offering young readers empowering stories rooted in everyday experiences. Through her writing and literacy advocacy, Sihle is committed to helping children see their own beauty, voices and possibilities reflected in the stories they read.
